Hard Skin in Xmas Knees Up

We have our long time great friends, Hard Skin visiting us for a good old Christmas Knees up with a fab festive gig at Pop Recs on Dec 16th.

They were founded in 1996 and their first album Hard Nuts, appeared that year. The band were: bassist “Fat Bob” (Sean Forbes of Wat Tyler), guitarist and lead vocalist “Johnny Takeaway” (Ben Corrigan of Thatcher On Acid) and drummer “Nosher” (Chris Acland of indie/Britpop band Lush). After Acland’s death, he was replaced on drums by “Nipper” (Scott Stewart) for second album Same Meat Different Gravy in 2005, which like its predecessor was received positively.
After a blinding set earlier in the year for us with The Bombpops, Sunderland’s very own Loudmouth (official) will take the stage along with our Southern Queen of Poetry and Ashington’s Acoustic Prince, Cherry & Peesh.
Our very special guest and friend is Tom Holliston of NoMeansNo will make a rare appearance.
